Swing Washbasin
The swing washbasin is designed for people with severe disabilities who use public disabled restroom. With the help of a caregiver, users can easily swing the washbasin and use it while sitting on the toilet. The smart faucet of the washbasin is a non-contact automatic faucet that detects hands and dispenses water and soap.
This product won the 2023 European Product Design Top Design in Home (Household Product) category. It was also patented and showcased at the ‘Korea Rehabilitation, Homecare, Welfare Expo’ in June 2023.

To assess the efficacy of the design, our team built a test environment and conducted usability tests using full-scale, low-fidelity prototypes and a working prototype.
After assembling the fundamental components, produced through various methods such as aluminum CNC machining, additional parts responsible for dispensing liquid soap and water in the faucet were installed. .
