Some individuals, such as wheelchair users and the visually impaired, face significant challenges when using bus services. To address these issues, universal design has been applied to all aspects of the bus services. The convenience of bus use can be further enhanced by integrating smart technology into the universal design concept.

This bus service enables transportation-vulnerable individuals to wait for, board, and disembark from a bus through a mobile phone app and a bus reservation system. Using these tools facilitates the entire process of using the bus, including finding the bus stop, making a bus reservation, transferring reservation information, and receiving bus arrival information, etc.

This project was funded by the Seoul Design Foundation and is intended to be incorporated into the Seoul City Bus Service Guidelines.
